What is our next step in the rising pandemic?
I know you long to start your ESL classes this fall and get back to “normal” (whatever that is!). I found a website: ilctr.org
It is the Immigrant Learning Center website.

Here are some suggestions about distance learning:
1) Phone calls,
2) One on one visits
3) Send out hard copies
4) Check on your students to see if they have any basic
needs, i.e. food, health etc.
5) Video conferencing

Great suggestions! Check it out; there are some
great teaching tips available on that website.

We are concerned and available to you. Please check out our Blog and subscribe. You will find a place to send us your questions, concerns and to let us know what you are doing to reach your students.

Idiom of the day:
Building an airplane while flying. It reflects the idea that you know you need to try to build something different, even as you still have students on board—who enter your doors every day in need of a range of services. One of the most important aspects of this cycle is the need to learn
and revise along the way. If the wings don't work quite right, the plane must be able to continue gliding as everything gets recalibrated based on what was learned.

I hope all of you are participating in the Literacy Texas Conference this weekend. The workshops will
help you as you decide what to do this fall in your English classes.
Praying that as we build our “airplane” together we will reach many who have the need and desire to learn English and need the Lord in their lives.

Expect great things from God; attempt great things for God.
