Greetings!
Greetings from Spokane! As I write this, I'm in Spokane for my Gonzaga University class reunion. And today (Monday) I hit the air for Australia and the SMB IT Pro conference. And then some vacation time before I head to the Acronis Cyberfit Summit in Miami.

Much of this trip feels like it's not quite what I wanted it to be. I can't move my class reunion, and I can't miss it. I can't move the SMB IT Pro conference, and I can't miss it. So I have to be here and fly from here to there.
And then I'm meeting a friend in Thailand. He's never been, and needed to squeeze the trip between other events (including the Cyberfit Summit). So I can't stay in Australia for an extra week or two, which I love.
Now I realized that I'm complaining about missing "Australia time" because I'll be at a beach in Thailand. Still - it feels like a compromise to me.
A lot of life is like that:
1) You don't control much of it
2) Things are quite the way you want them to be
3) But with a little perspective, you have to admit it's still pretty good!

In the video, I talk about the many tiny corrections that need to be made with employees. This is very worthwhile, versus an annual review, which is essentially useless.

The Art of Travel
If you follow me on Facebook, you know I love to take photos of public artwork, especially murals. Whether it's playful, inspiring, or even political, I think art and architecture say a great deal about a city.
And there are two bonuses. First, it's free. Wherever you're going, taking the in the artwork costs nothing extra. Second, it gets me out walking about. I don't lose weight because I then add beer to the experience. But it has to be doing me some good.
