Our Winter newsletter is a bit late this time around.  We have been super busy with some very cool projects all over metro Atlanta, Nashville and St. Simons!  As if a full work plate and chilly temperatures weren't enough of a challenge, I came down with the flu and it knocked me out!  So here we are playing catch u p but loving every minute of it!
You can keep in touch with us and have a inside look at our current projects by following us on Facebook and Instagram.
As always,   w e've been keeping up with what's happening in the market place.  We attended the home show at the Atlanta Mart in January showing all of their pretties in the furniture and accessories markets.
There are some super exciting things happening in the kitchen and bath world. KBIS, the leading kitchen and bath industry show, just occurred and some of the trends we saw are:
  • Less granite and more quartz
  • Matte black appliances and hardware (with gold accents)
  • Flat front cabinets
  • Smart appliances.
If you are in need of sprucing up your kitchen or bath please let us help you design your space and introduce you to the most efficient and exciting new arrivals in the industry.
I often  can't believe I get to build beautiful rooms for people. I feel grateful all the time. So with that I am excited to announce that we won the best of Houzz service award for the third year in a row!  Thank you for your faith in us!

Forever grateful,

Wallpaper is back to stay!

(excerpt from Houzz 2018 wallpaper trends. Full for story visit www.uhozz.com/2018-wallpaper-trends-special-selection-beautiful-models.html)

Wallpaper is a wonderful way to beautify your home easily and quickly. On the market there is a wide variety of patterns, colors and styles to suit all tastes. There are  trendy wallpaper models  at very affordable prices. To succeed in decorating an interior, the essential is the balanced mix of all the elements present and the privilege of simplicity and functionality. The wallpaper has the ability to bring a lot of character to a room. One of the great benefits of wallpaper is that it can easily be exchanged with another pattern or color. This gives a lot of freedom for the decoration of a room afterwards. You can experiment with various patterns whenever you want.
What is the trend of wallpaper in 2018 and what are our favorite colors and patterns? Find out in the following lines. Choose the pattern that attracts you the most and decorate your room. This year geometry, pastel and metallic shades, tropical and retro chic motifs adorn the walls.
A trend that is really taking over is to merge real artwork into wallpaper. The art-inspired wallpaper has become the new craze for many homeowners because of the way it interconnects visual art with the colors of the water. In fact, many art-inspired wallpapers have been painted by real painters who wish to give a different visual form to their works.
Keep watching our social media sites.  We have been on a roll with wallpaper in powder rooms lately!

Lake Oconee Living!

This was such a fun project working with these clients who wanted to take an old school, traditional lake house and update it. We moved the kitchen from the previous location to the breakfast area to create a more open space floor plan. We also added ship lap strategically to some feature walls and columns. The color palette we went with was navy, black, tan and cream...perfect for a sophisticated, yet cozy lake house. The decorative and central feature of the kitchen tile and family room rug really drove the direction of this project. With plenty of light, once we moved the kitchen and keeping the white walls, we were able to go with dramatic black cabinets. The solid brass pulls added a little drama, but the light reclaimed open shelves and cross detail on the island kept it from getting too fussy.  Clean white Quartz countertops, plenty of light and white walls keep the kitchen from feeling too dark.

There previously wasn't a fireplace in the home so we added one for cozy winter lake days with a herringbone tile surround and a reclaimed beam mantle.

To ensure this family friendly lake house can withstand the traffic, we added sunbrella slipcovers to all the upholstery in the family room.

The back screened porch overlooks the lake and dock and is ready for an abundance of extended family and friends to enjoy this beautiful updated and classic lake home.

Bring on warmer weather and long, lazy lake days!
