August 11-13, 2023. - We are very pleased to announce that our keynote speaker for Women’s Connection 2023 will be New York Times bestselling author and Duke University professor, Kate Bowler! Kate Bowler is the author of the New York Times bestselling memoir, Everything Happens for a Reason (and Other Lies I’ve Loved), which tells the story of her unexpected diagnosis with Stage IV cancer at age 35. She is also the author of Blessed: A History of the American Prosperity Gospel, and The Preacher’s Wife: The Precarious Power of Evangelical Women Celebrities. Her latest book, No Cure For Being Human (and Other Truths I Need to Hear), grapples with her diagnosis, her ambition, and her faith as she tries to come to terms with limitations in a culture that promises anything is possible.
