Can we all agree that 2020 has been quite the year? Research shows 49% of Americans feel “increasingly stressed, frustrated, and tense due to the recent coronavirus lockdown.” In the same study, 42% of Americans reported COVID-19 restrictions have made them want to scream. Can you relate?

Since we could all use some scream therapy about now, here is your opportunity to get it all out.

The Kearney community is invited to join the Kearney Chamber for some scream therapy on Friday, September 4th, from 4-7pm, at the Kearney Amphitheater, Jesse James Park. Watch for more details to be released soon!

Sept. 1 | Drug-Free Workplace webinar
It is estimated that up to 75,000 Americans will die from substance misuse and suicide because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Drug and alcohol abuse have increased significantly since the pandemic, intensifying an already serious problem facing our nation and our employers. The opioid epidemic, increasing positive drug test rates and the legalization of marijuana as medicine have been magnified by COVID-19.

Never before have employers been forced to deal with the magnitude of issues impacting their ability to operate drug-free – the opioid epidemic, increasing positive drug test rates and the legalization of marijuana as medicine. In this Sept. 1 webinar, Working Partners® will explore these new trends and best practices to help you assess your current drug-free workplace program and identify areas for potential improvement.

Because the Kearney Chamber is a member of the Missouri Chamber Federation, we are offering a webinar to help Kearney employers create or update their drug-free policies to address this serious threat to their business. We have created a special web page for Kearney Chamber members. When you identify your chamber during registration, we will send a rebate to your chamber. At the conclusion of the webinar, we will send a check to your local chamber for $10 for every member that registered.

Below is the link to use to participate.
