Good Morning!
We're back, but....
Is it Labour Day this coming weekend already?
Where did August go?!
These past few weeks have flown by (though not always on a plane! ) and it's been a busy time at the agency. When the recent Air Canada strike brought turbulence to your summer plans, our team worked hard to get everyone where they needed to be as soon as possible.
Having a professional travel consultant in your corner can make all the difference and we're proud to say that none of our clients missed their cruise, their tour or their family celebrations
| | |
Not had enough summer? There could be some silver linings on the horizon!
Past history has taught us to watch for good pricing following airline travel disruptions, so keep an eye out for special offers in the coming days when the dust settles. If you have a tour or cruise in mind, especially for Europe, September and October are among the best times of the year to travel. Crowds are thinner, weather is still amazing and your travel dollar goes farther.
Teamwork makes the dream work and it's not too late to book something for this fall...give us a call to get started!

7 Ways to Find Your Travel Style
Unlocking the kind of traveller you truly are.
| | |
Not everyone travels the same way, and that’s what makes it beautiful. While one person might thrive on spontaneous road trips, another finds peace in a meticulously planned itinerary.
Yet, figuring out what kind of traveler you are can make all the difference between a trip that drains you and one that fuels your soul. If you’ve ever returned from vacation feeling off — too rushed, too bored, too disconnected — the problem might not be the destination. It might just be that you haven’t found your travel style yet.
Here are 7 ways to discover the kind of traveler you are, so your next adventure feels more like you.
| |
1. Reflect on Your Ideal Day Off
Before you ever step on a plane or book a hotel, ask yourself: What does your perfect day off look like? Do you wake up early to hit a hiking trail, or sleep in and wander to a café for a slow breakfast? Are you itching to explore a museum or more interested in people-watching at a park?
Your ideal day off is often a mirror of your travel personality. If you're drawn to adrenaline and early starts, adventure travel might be your thing. Prefer leisure and culture? You may be a slow traveler at heart.
2. Revisit Past Trips — The Good and the Bad
Go back through your travel history and think critically: Which trips left you energized and inspired? Which ones made you long for home?
Was it the solo backpacking trip that lit you up, or the all-inclusive beach resort? Did a packed itinerary leave you feeling accomplished or totally wiped out? Looking for patterns in your previous experiences can be the most honest way to pinpoint what fits — and what doesn’t.
| |
3. Take Travel Style Quizzes (With a Grain of Salt)
Online travel style quizzes can be a fun starting point. They usually ask about budget, pace, lodging preferences, and activity levels to suggest a type — like “Cultural Explorer” or “Wanderlust Nomad.” Just remember: while helpful, they’re often oversimplified.
Instead of taking the result as gospel, use it as a launchpad to dig deeper. Think about why you got that result and whether it resonates with your own travel instincts.
4. Test the Waters with Short Trips
Sometimes the best way to figure out what kind of travel suits you is to try a few different styles on for size. A weekend city break, a cabin in the woods, or a quick group tour can all act as mini-experiments.
Short trips lower the stakes — and the costs — while letting you sample various ways of traveling. You might surprise yourself by loving something outside your usual comfort zone.
| |
5. Consider Your Comfort vs. Curiosity Ratio
Are you someone who needs certain comforts when you travel (a good bed, solid Wi-Fi, language familiarity)? Or are you driven more by curiosity, even if it means navigating unfamiliar terrain, strange food, or rustic lodging?
There’s no right or wrong here — it’s about your balance. Understanding how much risk and discomfort you’re willing to tolerate will help you choose destinations, activities, and even travel companions that align with your style.

6. Think About Who You Travel Best With — or If You Prefer Going Solo
Traveling with the right people can enhance a trip. But traveling with the wrong person can ruin it. Ask yourself: Do you crave company or independence on the road?
If you thrive when meeting new people and don’t mind compromise, you might love group tours or traveling with friends. But if you feel most alive when doing things on your own terms, solo travel could be your sweet spot.
|
7. Define What You Want to Feel on Your Trip
Forget for a moment where you want to go. Ask instead: How do you want to feel when you’re traveling?
Relaxed? Inspired? Accomplished? Connected?
This emotional compass can be more useful than a map. If you want to feel inspired, maybe art cities or spiritual retreats are your path. If you're seeking relaxation, look for all-inclusive travel destinations or wellness resorts.
Final Thoughts: Travel Style Isn’t Fixed
The truth is, your travel style can — and should — evolve over time. What you crave at 25 may not be what fulfills you at 45. Life stages, budgets, interests, and even world events will shape the way you approach travel.
The key is staying honest with yourself. The more you learn about how you want to travel — not just where — the more rewarding your adventures will be.
So go ahead: explore, experiment, reflect. Your ideal travel style is out there waiting to be discovered — and once you find it, every trip becomes a little more like coming home.
