Career Readiness
A big shoutout to College of the Redwoods for opening their doors to our business leaders, Lisa of Humboldt Grain Girls, Megan of Sea Goat Farmstand and Shelley from Express Employment Professionals of Eureka, CA.
They recently had an opportunity to connect with a class of students in the Business department.
Sharing insights, experiences, and knowledge is an essential part of nurturing the next generation of leaders, and we're thrilled to have been a part of this educational exchange.
Thank you College of the Redwoods and Jim Ritter for fostering these connections and supporting the growth of future professionals.

State of Education
The recent State of Education Forum held on October 3rd was a success, bringing together educators, administrators, and community members to discuss the current state and the future of education in our community. The insightful presentations and engaging discussions highlighted the importance of innovation, collaboration, and inclusivity in shaping a brighter future for our students. We are grateful to all the speakers, and attendees who contributed to the success of the event and look forward to continuing the conversation to take active steps in increasing collaborations between education and the business community.
Corks, Forks & Kegs
Corks, Forks, and Kegs 2023 on September 23rd, with around 300 attendees and over 30 local food and beverage samples, brought the McKinleyville community together and raised vital funds for the McKinleyville Chamber of Commerce. It highlighted the strength of our community and the promise of more to come!
September Mixer hosted by Vacasa
Huge thank you to Vacasa and the homeowners of Mermaid Cove for hosting the September Mixer at one of the most beautiful locations we've ever had a mixer. Delicious food and beverages along with amazing networking and a huge highlight of the evening was hearing from around 25 businesses during the "Buck-a-Minute" opportunity. There are so many exciting and fun events and specials happening with our members.
