Keep your Girl Scout spark shining all summer long!

We're thrilled to announce the launch of Summer Spark, a new training series created to help volunteers make the most of the summer months. These focused, high-value sessions are packed with practical ideas, fresh inspiration, and opportunities to connect with fellow volunteers.

Head into the new membership year feeling confident, supported, and ready to go.

We invite you to join us for the first training, Can We Talk? Getting Comfortable with Uncomfortable Conversations. Conflict is a natural part of working with people- this session helps you navigate it with confidence and clarity. Explore practical tools and strategies for addressing challenging conversations with parents, girls, and fellow volunteers. You’ll learn how to approach conflict with empathy, set clear expectations, and maintain positive relationships. By the end, you’ll be able to recognize common sources of conflict, apply a simple framework for resolution, and lead conversations that strengthen-not strain-your community.

America’s Block Party will be the largest synchronized Fourth of July celebration. Across the country, communities will gather on July 3rd and 4th for live music, shared moments, and local celebrations that reflect the spirit of Independence Day. Block parties will take place across 10 major U.S. cities and be broadcasted to share the joy in community. Los Angles will host the main event. Councils and Troops can host their own block parties – big or small – to celebrate this milestone anniversary and Girl Scout’s contribution to the American fabric.

Times Square Ball Drop

For the first time, the Times Square Ball will drop eight times on July 3rd to ring in Independence Day live across all time zones in the United States. One Times Square will serve as the live broadcast stage for millions of Americans to be able to watch in real time as it marks midnight across America. The July 3rd countdown will serve as the opening act for America’s Block Party on July 4th.
