Second Annual Golf Tournament a Success Thanks to Participants, Donors, Volunteers

Keep Iowa Beautiful extends its deepest gratitude to all the amazing individuals who volunteered their time, donated, or participated in this year's golf tournament. Your unwavering support and dedication have been instrumental in making this event an overwhelming success.

Thanks to your collective efforts, we were able to raise almost $30,000 to support Keep Iowa Beautiful's programming. These funds will have a lasting impact on initiatives like the Hometown Pride program, Pick-Up Iowa, and the No Litter Hotline, enabling us to continue our mission for years to come.

The success of this golf tournament far exceeded our expectations, and we are immensely grateful for your involvement. We hope this event has not only been enjoyable but also rewarding for each one of you. Your continued support and participation are critical to our ongoing efforts to make Iowa a cleaner, more beautiful state.

Once again, thank you so much for your support. With your help, we can continue to preserve and enhance the beauty of Iowa for generations to come.

Communities Give Back Through Pick-Up Iowa and Paint Iowa Beautiful Programs

Each year from April through July, volunteers across the state participate in Pick-Up Iowa in support of the national Great American Cleanup. Keep Iowa Beautiful has been proud to support communities in this effort, and the results speak for themselves. Thank you to everyone who's done their part in keeping Iowa beautiful!

Volunteers in Shelby, Iowa, spent a day picking up litter along the road leading out of town, as well as a local trail.

The volunteers filled eight trash bags with litter. Great work, Shelby!

Community members in Ventura, Iowa, cleaned up the area around McIntosh Woods State Park.

The volunteers filled four trash bags with litter from the park and woods.

Residents of Afton, Iowa, gathered to pick up litter in the entire town of 900 during their annual City-Wide Cleanup sponsored by the Afton Development Corporation.

Volunteers hauled over 12,000 pounds of litter to the landfill and 2,300 pounds of scrap metal and appliances to the salvage yard. What an accomplishment!

Our Paint Iowa Beautiful program grants paint to volunteers and organizations for community improvement projects. Keep Iowa Beautiful believes well-maintained and painted buildings reflect pride in our communities. These wonderful community projects are just a few examples.

Paint Iowa Beautiful awardees in Ida Grove, Iowa, repainted The Moorehead House Museum, an 1875 Italianate structure built by Ida Grove's founding family.

The landmark home looks pristine with a new coat of red paint.

The residents of Lake View, Iowa, can see a new mural gracing the side of a local building thanks to a Paint Iowa Beautiful grant.

The "Welcome to Lake View" mural with a contemporary feel brings new personality to the heart of Lake View.
