CHAMBER NOTEBOOK: Scotty Landscape Supply & Sheboygan Dumpster Rental
Scotty Landscape Supply is a family owned and operated full-service garden center and landscape contractor.

We are open 7 days per week offering pick-up and delivery. We offer a wide selection of landscape materials such as 11 varieties of natural and dyed mulches, sand and topsoil, decorative and construction stones and boulders. We also have trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, vegetables and hanging baskets.

Our gift shop has a great selection of landscape type gifts and outdoor accessories, and we are also Sheboygan’s only Green Mountain Grill pellet grill distributor.

Scotty Landscape Supply prides itself on offering the largest selection of landscape products in Sheboygan and now Manitowoc County. Our landscape division offers landscape install and renovations, lawn care, and maintenance as well as snow plowing and salting operations.

In addition to landscape operations, a new division was created. Sheboygan Dumpster Rental opened in 2019 to serve a growing demand for the residential and commercial roll off dumpster rental market. Used for remodeling, household clean-up jobs and yard waste removal to name a few, our driveway friendly dumpsters offer a cost-effective alternative to the larger disposal companies.

Scotty Landscape Supply was established by Scott Schaefer in 1989 with 1 employee. By 2000, Scott opened his first retail garden center located on 4 acres in the town of Sheboygan. A trucking division was added to support the garden center and other local landscape operations with full semi loads of landscape materials. Over the next few years this location grew from one to three buildings.

In 2010, Scott partnered with the town of Sheboygan to take over the residential drop off of yard waste and non-curbside garbage drop off. This was the start of the Sheboygan Dumpster Rental; however, it would not offer rental services until 2019. This service became very popular and by 2019 Scotty Landscape Supply opened the Sheboygan Dumpster Rental division out of customer requests.

Our newest and most exciting growth is now taking place in the city of Manitowoc. Scott and his oldest son Cody have purchased the former Four Seasons Full-Service Lawn Care located at 1539 North 8th Street in Manitowoc. The birth of the second and largest Scotty Landscape Supply location has created several new jobs growing to 20 employees.

Renovations have started and we will open in April of this year as a full-service garden center with 35 large bins of bulk mulches, decorative landscape and construction stones, topsoil, unique boulders, flagstone, plants, and sod. A large gift shop accompanies this location to become Manitowoc’s largest and most complete garden center and gift shop.
