Have you claimed your site? Creating your own account allows you to verify, manage and update your organization’s listing(s). When doing so, make sure you work with your organization's leadership so everyone is informed and the process is coordinated. Follow these steps to claim your program or organization on 413Cares!

Veteran's Day Events

Saturday November 11 is Veteran's Day, a day of celebration to honor America's veterans for their patriotism and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good. Find events and happenings in Western MA on WWLP.

Fuel Assistance Programs

The Massachusetts' home energy assistance program (LIHEAP) is a free resource to help eligible households pay a portion of winter heating bills. All heating types may be eligible for assistance: oil, propane, electric, kerosene, coal, cordwood, wood pellets, and natural gas included. You can apply online, by mail, or at the LIHEAP agency in your area below.

Free Bus Fares & New FRTA Bus App

Pioneer Valley Transit Authority and Berkshire Regional Transit Authority are offering free bus rides from November 24, 2023 to December 31, 2023. This does not apply to B79 bus route.

Franklin Regional Transit Authority (FRTA) is offering free bus rides on its fixed routes and ADA services until June 30th, 2024. Please share this information with your communities!

FRTA also has officially launched its new fixed route bus app through PassioGo! Follow the bus in real-time, save your favorite stops and routes, get notifications, and more! Download for free today on the Google Play or App store. Check out the website.
