October 1, 2020
Dear Church Families, the church Cabinet has initiated plans for re-opening of our Sunday Service on Sunday November 8th, 2020.
What we are doing to make the church safe for live worship in the Sanctuary.
  • Church facilities professionally cleaned twice a week.
  • There will be no in person coffee hour during this reopening phase.
  •  Pastor and choir Director and film crew will be appropriately spaced according to safe Covid-19 guidelines.
  • Church attendance will be limited based on Covid-19 guidelines.
  • Communion will not be offered during the live service.
  • Attendees will be asked to provide their own copy of the church bulletin or use a mobile device.
  • There will be no singing but there will be recorded music.
  • Safe hand sanitizing stations provided.
  • You are encouraged to bring your own mask; masks will be available to those
not bringing their own.
  •  We will be attempting to provide some on-line children/youth activities.

What can you do to help during this re-opening.
  • Complete the attached survey to help us plan for a successful re-opening.

Why the Survey?
  • The survey will help us plan for the needs of our church family.
  • The Survey will help us anticipate for additional space necessary for non member worshipers choosing to worship with us.
  • If there are any other questions or concerns that you may have, please add them to the end of the survey.

Youth Group will meet every other Sunday at 5:00 PM via Zoom for the time being. The next meetings will be
October 11th and 25th.

If you can’t make it or have some alternative ideas, let CC know. If you need service project hours contact her for ideas. We are still trying to solve a riddle from a game last week (we did not have the answers): “I begged the Pope to let me enter the convent when I was young, all 4 of my sisters were nuns, my parents are saints, and I am a doctor of the church. Who am I?” Any ideas??

Trustees would like to ask for your help and/or to be on a temporary committee to establish safe protocols for re-starting in person worship services.

If you are interested in serving on this committee, please contact David Nobles, dnobles21@gmail.com

We are calling this ad hoc group "Phase Forward" and our work is based on the SNEUCC Guidlines.
The committee met via zoom last Wednesday evening. Meetings were scheduled for the next 6 Wednesdays (through the month of October), at 6:00 PM. Note: all are welcome to attend.

There were several tasks identified for the next few weeks, so expect activity on this important project. Look for changes as we move towards a limited in-person worship alternative, projected for sometime in November.

We are all in this together and want to do everything in our power to see a safe and viable solution for in-person worship.

Thank you
David Nobles
