College Softball Recruiting Process
Attention all student-athletes aspiring to play collegiate softball. The recruiting rules have changed! College coaches will no longer be able to have any contact with athletes before September 1 of their Junior year. It is so important that you pay attention to these rules (see link below. Remember, it is NOT your coaches responsibility to get you into college.Coaches and parents are major resources, however, it is up to YOU to get YOU to college and to grow as a student and an athlete when you get there.

  • DO send coaches emails introducing yourself
  • DON'T be upset when college coaches do not respond - they legally can not
  • DO send skills videos to coaches so they know what you can do
  • DO attend college camps and clincs
  • DON'T talk to college coaches about attending their school before September 1 of your junior year
  • DON'T ask your school or travel coaches to talk to college coaches before September 1 of your junior year.
