Urgent Action Needed TODAY on Bipartisan Gun Safety Legislation!

Women’s Voices Supports Proposed Bipartisan

Gun Safety Legislation

Women’s Voices is encouraged by the preliminary agreement among a bipartisan group of Senators to support new gun safety legislation. Although the proposed law is not all that the country needs to reduce gun violence, it will be an important incremental step forward and we support it. Even as we contact our Senators to demand that they also support this legislation, we will continue to work for more comprehensive gun safely legislation to further protect Americans.

Voter Registration Phone Banking

Volunteers are needed to call St. Louis County residents to whom we mailed our Raise Your Voice voter registration packets. Make calls from your own home between now and July 1. Volunteers will confirm if residents received voter registration forms, if they registered, or if they need more help through the process. Volunteers will receive a list of residents (20 or 40) and a script after signing up. Phone training can be provided upon request.

Women’s Voices is continuing our voter registration drive. We need volunteers to help assemble packets for this next step of our voter registration project. Join us to connect with other Women’s Voices members and engage voters:

Once packets are assembled, volunteers will be needed to address packets and send them to likely unregistered voters whose names and address will be provided. Packets will include voter registration forms that recipients can mail to the St. Louis County Board of Elections. Stay tuned for more opportunities to participate in this important voter registration effort!

Let's Get Out the Vote at the Webster Groves 4th of July Parade!

Women's Voices members are invited to join members of Webster Groves Presbyterian Church and Churches Together for Justice to march in the annual Webster Groves community parade on Monday, July 4th! The group's theme is The Importance of Every Person's Vote. All are welcome to walk with the group. Bring your family and invite your friends! Signs, candy, and voting information cards will be available to hand out to parade watchers!

Marchers in this group will include members of like-minded organizations who believe in the right of all citizens to cast their ballots, including the Alliance for Interracial Dignity, North Webster Neighborhood Coalition, St. Louis Area Voter Protection Coalition, and the League of Women Voters.
