Second Saturday Suppers is taking a break for the summer and will resume in September. We look forward to seeing you then!

The Poets' Corner

The Poets’ Corner is six 60-minute weekly sessions for people curious about poetry. In each session we discuss an eclectic range of works, three poems by women and men from various cultures and times. At Christ Church we are invited to pay attention to life. Poetry helps us do that, and no question or comment about the selected poems can be wrong. Each session starts after the Sunday 9 AM service. Please bring your name tag and any coffee-hour refreshments to the upstairs conference room. Poems will be provided. Peter Trenouth is your host. The Poets’ Corner starts June 14.

Evening Women’s Group

The Evening Women's Group will be meeting at Connie's cottage on Plymouth Long Beach on Wednesday, July 1st. 

Plan on meeting at the end of the public parking lot at 4:45 PM for the carpool ride out.

Let Connie know if you have a 4wd or awd vehicle.

All women of the parish are invited to attend. We have no membership requirements other than to contribute up to $10 for outreach projects.

Reflections of the Altar Guild - Part II

Why consider the ministry of the Altar Guild?

~ This ministry offers flexibility for vacation time, school schedules and other things in our busy lives that come up.

~ Training is not required but available for any specific period of time; as we are continuously learning.

~ The Altar Guild ministry offers opportunities for contemplation and sacred prayer time in motion.

~ There is also the time of fellowship with one another and also an opportunity to connect with our priest and deacons in the sacred kitchen called the sacristy.

~ Most of all … preparing the services for Holy Eucharist with utmost care for the love and for the closeness to Jesus Christ is a very spiritual and sacred experience.

Sharing Our Grief Journey

Meets the 3rd Friday of every month from 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM

Christ Church is offering a series of get togethers designed for anyone who is grieving the loss of a loved one, whether the death is recent or in the past. Participants will have the opportunity to share where they are on their grief journey, receive mutual support, share ways to cope, and may, through prayer and meditation, find new strength and hope to continue on their healing journey. 

Notes from the Vestry meeting of May 30, 2026

• Vestry Members participated in a full-day retreat on May 30, which included our regular monthly business meeting as well as a workshop led by Deacon Natalie during which we worked to deepen our relationships with God and with one another through conversation, scripture study and prayer. We focused on relationships, reconciliation, and what it means to be a church.
• Rev. Melissa will be taking a vacation beginning the afternoon of 6/7 and will return on 6/24. Worship coverage is in place. Two priests will be celebrating our Saturday evening Eucharist services, and on the two Sundays, we will celebrate Morning Prayer.
• Vestry approved a motion to move forward with the first phase of our parking space lining and paving project. Work will not begin until the entire scope has been reviewed and approved.
• Vestry has approved the first $900K deposit we have received as a donation from the Estate of Don Bolt to be temporarily held in a money market account.

Christ Church Thrift Shoppe

Christ Church Parish Thrift Shoppe is excited to announce our rehab from the flood is completed. Volunteers are busy stocking the shelves with new merchandise and clothing in anticipation of our Grand Re Opening on May 30th 9-4pm!

We will be celebrating unbelievable sales and much more. Please mark your calendar and join us as we return to do our good work for the community.
