Mission Moment: The Lounds Family
|
|
“Thank you so much for taking care of us while our daughter was in the hospital. Our family was so incredibly blessed by all of the services provided by the Ronald McDonald House. Your generosity has allowed us to focus on spending time with our daughter without worrying about where we will stay for the night or where we will get our next meal without being away from her too long.”

Indianapolis Indians Jersey Reveal
|
|
You will be hard pressed to find a child that isn’t intimately familiar with either
PAW Patrol or the
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Naturally, they’re a perfect fit for the custom Indianapolis Indians jerseys our hometown baseball team unveiled last Friday during a visit to our Riley House that included a McDonald's lunch served by team members and staff. For the third year in a row, the Indianapolis Indians have partnered with RMHCCIN in a truly unique fundraiser. These custom jerseys are worn during batting practice, autographed, and auctioned off during their games, the proceeds of which benefit our families.
While the
PAW Patrol jerseys were auctioned off to enthusiastic fans and House supporters last week, this Friday and Saturday, August 23 and 24, you will have a chance to bid on
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles jerseys! The auction goes live at 5:00 pm Friday until the end of the game on Saturday.

Thank you to our friends at
CFH Enterprises for renovating our game room! Now our families have more room to play games and enjoy activities together.

Anyone Can Make a Difference

Thirty years ago, if you called the Ronald McDonald House during the late-night hours, Terri Hawkins would have answered that call. It was the start of a volunteering career that has included serving as a tour guide, a speaker, a mentor, and a creator of volunteer resources.
|
|
Terri is also member of the South Central Indiana Corvette Club – one of our generous community partners and room sponsors. What started as a $500 donation to earn a heart on our wall has evolved into room sponsorships at both house locations, and an amazing 25
th Anniversary Car Show that gave Riley kids a chance to sit in some of the coolest Corvettes in the area.
Though Terri is planning to retire from her position as Vice President at Wells Fargo Bank, she still plans to continue volunteering for the House.

Volunteer to be a Day of Change Fundraising Champion! We will set you up with an electronic fundraising platform you can easily link to and encourage your friends, family and co-workers to support you in this day long fundraising event. No experience needed, just a go-getter attitude and a desire to help! Email Adam Lowe at

Taste Gala - November 1, 2019
|
|
Hi fur-riends!
I love it when donors visit the House – it means I get lots of extra pats on the head and belly rubs. It also means you’re here to help my pals staying in the House! They told me they need some stuff to fill the pantry, can you help?
|
|
Here are the top items on our House Wish List:
- Non-perishable foods like pudding, jell-o or fruit cups, canned ravioli and spaghetti, tuna and chicken salad in pouches
- Sugar packets and powdered coffee creamer
- Liquid laundry detergent
- Disposable cups, plates and bowls
- Notepads and puzzle books
- Warm snuggles
Okay...that last one was mine, but I don't think they mind. Don't forget, you can check out our
Amazon Wish List and have items shipped directly to the House. I don't use a mouse or I'd do that right now!
Fur-well,
Mac

For every Happy Meal sold, McDonald's donates a penny back to Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Doesn't sound like much? More than $4 million is raised for the global organization on an annual basis! Now that's a HAPPY meal!
