Keeping In Touch, Volume 15
Greetings!

Tutor ID Number:

Good Morning Tutors!

I hope you are having a good summer and finding time to enjoy some fun outdoor activities. First, I want to thank you for your invaluable service to Literacy DuPage. We would not be able to accomplish our mission without your dedication, hard work, and support. Thank you for being a trusted and devoted source of information for your students. Thank you for embracing change, your willingness to learn, serve, and engage in new ways.

This week’s edition of Keeping In Touch provides materials about the 4 th of July and National Ice Cream Day. Did you know that National Ice Cream Day is July 19? Learn more about the delicious day of observation as you explore the materials!

As always, please do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions or need help with tutoring strategies during this time. Be well and take care.

With gratitude and hope,

Survey Response - Keeping in Touch Frequency:

Thank you for your responses to our survey last week regarding the frequency of our Keeping in Touch series. We appreciate your comments about the materials and content that we have been sending. We were happy to learn that this series has been helpful to you and your student for use now or in the future! A quick reminder, all Keeping in Touch newsletters (including links and PDF files) can be found on our website under the Newsletter Archive .

Based on your input regarding the frequency, we will begin sending Keeping in Touch twice a month. The next edition will be released on July 18. Subsequent editions will be published for release on the first and third Saturdays of each month.
Resuming In-Person Tutoring:

As our world begins to broaden, we want to suggest the opportunity to begin meeting face-to-face with your student again.

Adhering to the  attached guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, you and student can meet in public places such as parks, restaurants with outdoor seating, and other open spaces.

If you decide to meet face-to-face for a tutoring appointment, we require that you and your learner  both read, understand, and sign the attached liability waivers. The waivers must be signed and returned to our office prior to beginning face-to-face tutoring.

You may scan and send the signed waivers to Diana Heppner,  dheppner@literacydupage.org or send them through the mail to our physical address:
