The month of November is the time to be thankful, a time to remember, and to embrace those who enrich our lives. As we accept the pause in our annual observances and traditions this year, we hope you will be inspired to count our many blessings and reflect and remember with joy those who could not be with us.

Tutor Engagement

Post-Testing: Remember that your student should be post-tested after every 30-35 hours of tutoring time. Contact Carol Garcia to schedule a virtual or in-person session. Both tutor and student can be included in the assessment process virtually if desired.

Peer Tutor Mentor Meetings: Below are the dates for the upcoming Peer Tutor Mentor Meetings for the remainder of the calendar year. Due to the holidays, we are combining November and December. You should have received a separate email yesterday with registration details. Contact Carol if you did not receive this email.

English Conversation Groups

ESL Conversation Groups offer an informal and friendly environment for adults at an intermediate or above level to practice their English listening and speaking skills.

Community Resources

WeGo Together for Kids is partnering with United Way of Metro Chicago to host a holiday meal event where 500 families will receive a holiday meal, PPE, and gifts for their children. The event will operate on a first come, first serve basis.

Free COVID-19 Testing: DuPage County is now offering community-based COVID-19 testing at the DuPage County Complex.

Testing is free but limited tests are available per day.
