Volume 39 | June 26, 2021
This issue is all about the 4th of July and Farmer's Markets!
Greetings, Tutors!

Happy Birthday, America!  America will celebrate its 246th Birthday as it commemorates the day when the nation adopted the Declaration of Independence from British rule on July 4, 1776. This holiday is enthusiastically celebrated with parades, picnics, barbeques, fireworks, and reflection.

Weekly Famer’s Markets are scattered all over DuPage County. Introduce and encourage your student to explore and discover their local market. Enjoy these summer days!

As always, please do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions or need help with tutoring strategies during this time. Be well and take care.

With gratitude and hope,

  • As libraries are re-opening for full service, tutors and students are cautiously and experimentally returning to in-person tutoring. Literacy DuPage requires all tutors and sign a waiver of liability if meeting in-person. Click here for tutor and student waiver documents. These documents should be returned to dheppner@literacydupage.org.
  • We want to hear from YOU! Email Carol your ideas, questions, or opportunities you would like to share with other tutors. Your contribution may be featured in an upcoming issue!
