Greetings, Tutors!
October is recognized as Health Literacy Month. A general definition of health literacy is reading, understanding, and acting upon health information. We want to ensure our students develop the skills and confidence they need to maintain their health. Use the instructional resources in this newsletter with your student to increase their familiarity and knowledge of health-related matters.
As the end of October approaches, teach your student about the traditions and observances of what we call Halloween. This spooktacular subject provides an opportunity to explain cultural traditions while practicing the communicative language skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions or need help with tutoring strategies during this time. Be well and take care.
With gratitude and hope,
Your Tutor Support Specialist
