Cambria got the blues
On the first Sunday in Lent the congregation at Cambria PC wore blue as a testament to one of the ways One Great Hour of Sharing makes a difference with the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance program. PDA provides emergency and refugee support for communities adversely affected by crisis and catastrophic events.
One Great Hour of Sharing is the single, largest way that Presbyterians come together every year to work for a better world. 2024 is the 75th anniversary of this offering. OGHS resources.

Millions in medical debt erased
John Knox Presbytery raised over $30,000 and sent it to RIP Medical Debt. Just found out the result…$3,906,533.98 in medical debt wiped out for 2,167 families in North Carolina, Indiana, Texas and Idaho!
Hmmm…how to explain what almost $4 million looks like? It’s like taping $20 bills end to end for about 18 miles…from Postville to Waukon…or from Reedsburg to Wisconsin Dells. What an amazing ministry!

PC(USA) partnership gives away more than 4,800 copies of family-friendly book of psalms
‘Psalms of Wonder’ giveaway was ‘an immense joy’
by Beth Waltemath | Presbyterian News Service
Thanks to a partnership between the Presbyterian Mission Agency and the Presbyterian Publishing Corporation, 414 churches and communities of faith recently received free copies of the illustrated book “Psalms of Wonder,” by Carey Wallace.
Published in the fall of 2023, the book features accessible and inspiring translations and illustrations of a selection of the psalms by the author and by the book’s illustrator, Khoa Le. A grant overseen by the PMA’s Office of Christian Formation gifted bundles of 10 books in either English or Spanish to congregations so they could share them with families for faith formation in the home. Another 70 books were handed out as door prizes last month at the annual gathering of the Association of Partners in Christian Education.
