Brian Isaacson, MD, MBA, DFAPA

Dr. Brian Isaacson, MD, MBA, DFAPA, was born and raised in NJ. He attended the University of Southern California, studied biological sciences with a concentration in biochemistry. He studied at UMDNJ-RWJMS and completed his General Psychiatry Residency training at Tulane University. He completed his child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at LSU-HSC. He has worked at AtlantiCare Health System in Atlantic County for the last 14 years and is currently the Chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Medical Director of AtlantiCare Behavioral Health. He also is very involved in resident and medical student education. He lives with his wife and two children in Southern NJ now. He also is the current Secretary-Treasurer of the New Jersey Psychiatric Association. 

Katharine Clouser, MD, FAAP, MBA

Dr. Katharine Clouser, MD, FAAP, MBA, is a board-certified pediatrician and hospital medicine specialist who serves as the Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs at Hackensack University Medical Center. Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Dr. Clouser received her BS at Seton Hall University and earned her medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. She later completed her Master of Business Administration at the University of Florida.

In addition to her clinical leadership role, Dr. Clouser is a practicing pediatric hospitalist, delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to children in the acute care setting. She is nationally recognized for her work in quality improvement, particularly in the area of mental health care in pediatric hospital environments. Her work has contributed to shaping best practices and improving patient outcomes for vulnerable pediatric populations.


In addition to clinical interests, she has an interest in medical education, serving as an Associate Program Director for the Pediatric Residency Program at Hackensack University Medical Center and is the Assistant Dean of Admissions at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. She currently serves as the President of the New Jersey Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, where she leads advocacy, education, and quality initiatives to improve the health and well-being of children across the state.

Melissa Wallach, MD, FAAP

Dr. Melissa Wallach, MD, FAAP, graduated with a BA in Biological Basis of Behavior from the University of Pennsylvania and then went to SGU School of Medicine where she received her MD degree. She completed a combined Internal Medicine/ Pediatrics residency program at Maimonides Medical Center. She then worked in private practice for about 5 years before joining the faculty at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center where she worked in both the departments of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. During my 10 years at Newark Beth she was an active member of the teaching faculty and was the Director of Ambulatory Pediatrics for my last few years there. Six years ago Dr. Wallach joined the faculty at Jersey Shore University Medical Center where she is the Director of Medical Education for the SGU Medical School Program and Director of Quality Improvement for the Pediatric Primary Care Practices. She is also the Associate Medical Director for the Pediatric Southern Region of HMH Partners, our CIN and sees primary care pediatric patients in Neptune. She is also on the Executive Council of the NJAAP and am part of various NJAAP projects including ECHO’s and learning collaboratives.
