The Diocese of Phoenix is making plans for restoring parish life in harmony with the State of Arizona and Federal directives. Next week, the suspension of public liturgies will be lifted with restrictions and precautions. While progress will be gradual and may at times be imperfect, we appreciate your patience and kindness during this time of transition.

Please remember that in Arizona, the stay-at-home order is still in place. To come here is not without risk, as we are not a medically sterile facility. Please carefully consider your own health and risk status as you decide if coming to Mass or to receive communion is right for you at this time. If you are sick, at risk, or caring for someone who is, we ask that you stay safe and continue to enjoy livestream Masses (everyone has a front row seat).

Beginning Monday, May 11, the Our Lady of the Angels Church will offer public daily Mass, Monday through Saturday, at 8 am with limited seating . Doors will be opened at 7:45 am. For your protection, as well as others, face coverings and social distancing are required for attendance. Please read the complete Guidelines for Preparing to Return to Public Masses from the Diocese of Phoenix. Click here for CDC guidelines for practicing safety during the pandemic.

*Daily Mass (Mon-Sat, 8 am) and Sunday Mass (Sat, 5 pm & Sun, 9:15 am) will continue to be livestreamed .*

Public Sunday Masses are planned to begin Saturday, May 30 at 5 pm and Sunday, May 31 at 9:15 am, with limited seating. More information will be shared in future communications. The General Dispensation releasing Catholics from their Sunday obligation remains in place, giving you the freedom to participate via livestream communion will be offered for one hour immediately following the livestream of the 5 pm Mass on Saturday and 9:15 am Mass on Sunday, with safety precautions in place.

We look forward to the post-pandemic future and thank you for your understanding and support!

Good to the Last Pot
The beautiful petunias that decorate our grounds during Holy Week start as small plants lovingly tended to by our volunteer Casa Gardeners. Keeping them watered, protected from the elements, and keeping the rabbits at bay, is always a challenge. So our gardeners pitched in for materials and built a simple greenhouse, complete with a sprinkler system! The flowers happily grew inside until they were ready to move inside the church for this year's livestreamed prayers and liturgies and remained there well after Easter. Click here for a video of the petunias' journey to the altar, courtesy of gardener Stan Martin. A big thank you to these dedicated volunteers for their generosity and their hard work all year long!
