It’s that time of year, the 2025 invoices have been sent. The BIA has such important work to do from fighting the fight for more housing to providing opportunity and education to our members. Your membership and involvement in our association is critical to the success of our Industry.

We advocate on behalf of our members insuring we have the need to build, the right to build, and the cost to build is not a burden. Likewise, we gather and network, building a family of friends that last a lifetime. 

While 2024 represented a lot of change in our association, we are already mapping out 2025 to make sure we provide stability, opportunity and energy!

My name is Charlie Seelig from Kings III. I have been with the BIA Association for 2 years and my experience has been wonderful. I say this because not only have I met some tremendous people through this association, but I have also made great business contacts which have helped my business and myself grow in this industry.

The BIA has provided me with lots of opportunities to meet like-minded folks looking to network and grow their circles of influences here in the San Diego market. It is an association that gives you an opportunity to learn about commercial and residential legislation as well as hew developments taking place around our beautiful county. The biggest benefit I have found with being a member of the BIA is how it allowed me to meet some developers, which have given me a consistent amount of business. It all happened right when I joined the BIA.

At the new member orientation, we are asked to stand-up and present ourselves and our business to the board of directors which is primarily made up of developers and builders. During this orientation, I met Marco Sessa from Sudberrry properties who said, “I would like to talk to you a little more about your services” please see me after this so we can talk. We met, and he has given me business for all of his properties. We continue to work together to this day.

None of this would have been possible had I not joined the BIA and gotten involved as much as possible. This is a great association with lots of opportunities to help you and your business grow professionally here in San Diego.
