Seller Tip
Buyer Tip

Take the home out of your house

One of the most important things to do when selling your house is to de-personalize it. The more personal stuff in your house, the less potential buyers can imagine themselves living there. Get rid of a third of your stuff – put it in storage. This includes family and friends pictures, memorabilia collections and personal keepsakes.

Consider home staging to maximize the full potential of your home. Think of your home as being presented to buyers as a "model home" in new construction communities.

Make a
Competitive Offer

Found the right property and ready to make an offer? Offers should be strong and attractive. A good rule of thumb, specifically in a seller’s market, is to start strong. To do this, assess the property’s market value. Your realtor can help you with this through a competitive market analysis (CMA). The CMA will help you understand what homes are selling for in that neighborhood.

Negotiating offers happens quickly, so be ready with a counteroffer in the event your initial offer is not accepted. If you’re looking to buy in a seller’s market it’s imperative you are prepared and available at all times so you don't miss out on your dream home!
