Prevent the Flu!
Flu and COVID-19 are both respiratory illnesses that are caused by different viruses. Because some of the symptoms of flu and COVID-19 are the same, you may need testing to know which virus you have.

Getting a flu shot is more important this year than ever. Mecklenburg County Public Health recommends that all residents get a flu shot early to protect themselves and others and lower the burden on healthcare systems.

For additional information on how and where to get vaccinated, visit the Mecklenburg County Public Health Department website.
