Within the last week, both Berks and Schuylkill Counties were given the order to shelter in place, joining many communities in uncertainty of what this will mean for them. The impact of the Coronavirus pandemic on our economy is expected to be significant, with unprecedented job losses as non-essential businesses remain shuttered. With this comes a rising demand for our services from our neighbors who struggle with food insecurity, some for the very first time.

Helping Harvest has been able to meet the growing need of our community because of the generosity of our donors, and the diligence of our partner agencies who have gone above and beyond to serve more people and to increase the amount of food they distribute.

In a typical week, we distribute 135,000 pounds of food throughout Berks and Schuylkill Counties.
This past week, we distributed 340,000 pounds of food.

The support of you, our generous donors, will help to sustain our operations and purchase food which is so needed at this exceptional time. Donations at every level are gratefully accepted.
We thank you for your support.

We don't know what the weeks and months ahead will hold for our communities, but we feel confident in our ability to continue helping our hungry neighbors with your support.
