May News from Howard County Recycling
Know Before You Throw!
Know Before You Throw  encourages us ALL to refocus on what should go in the trash and what should be recycled. Quality is key with recyclables , and that starts with making sure we are Recycling Right!

What Should I Do With...?
D onate gently used medical and rehab equipment to the  Loan Closet  or  Wheels for the World . Donations are used by those who can't afford equipment or only require items on a short-term basis.

Recycle Beyond the Blue Bin
There is so much more that we can reuse/recycle outside of our blue bins . Baby items, batteries, chopsticks, clothing, corks, ink cartridges, oyster shells, Styrofoam and more. Learn what "out of the blue" recyclables are hidden in your home .

Household Hazardous Waste
HHW drop-off at the Alpha Ridge Landfill is on SATURDAYS only from April-November.
Covenant Corner

We have an opening on our five member Village Architectural Committee.  The commitment is small, but the impact is BIG.  Members make property site visits, review and vote on applications for exterior alterations, and consult on covenant issues in the Village.

Meetings are held twice a month; on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 7:30pm at Kahler Hall and are usually over by 9pm. Volunteers must lease or own property located in the Village and must be able to obtain a Certificate of Compliance for their property.  Contact the Covenant Advisor, Debbie Nix, for more information at 410-730-0770 or
