We give thanks to God for all of you, remembering in our prayers…Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you…

Dear St. Mary Friends,

As many Parishioners know, Bishop Caggiano has reassigned Fr. Lourderaj to be the Chaplain at St. Joseph’s Center in Trumbull. He will live in the rectory at St. Stephen Parish also in Trumbull. While it is the lot of a priest to be transferred, that doesn’t take away the fact that we will miss him greatly. Fr. Lourderaj is an outstanding priest with the heart of the Good Shepherd himself. Surely the Lord will bless many people in Trumbull through him. We thank the Lord for the time we have had with Fr. Lourderaj. We wish him well and promise our prayers for his new ministry. Please see his message to the Parish below.

Message from Father Lourderaj Pitchai, O. Praem

Dear Sisters and Brothers of St. Mary Family,

I greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Our Healer.

I take this precious moment to thank our almighty Father who art in heaven for His love care and protection during my stay for two and a half years in St. Mary’s and using me as His servant to serve His People, here in St. Mary Family.

I never imagined that a time would come very soon when I will depart from this place but I always harken to the will of God and have to obey His voice when He calls.

Today brethren I am bidding you bye to relocate to another place in His vineyard but want to take this precious chance to thank each and every one of you for the love we have always shared since I came to this Parish. As I journeyed along with you, I felt at home in this great and unique family.

It is so hard to believe that I have been greatly blessed by being with you this past two and half years. I am so full of joy being with all of you. You have welcomed me as member of the parish family and have helped make my Priestly Ministry fruitful, blessed and enjoyable. Memories made at St. Mary Parish will be with me forever. I sincerely thank each and every member of St. Mary Family. This Family is unique, you are unique in that the time I came here all of you became my friends, we have connection that is unique.

I would like to place in record my gratitude to all of you: Parishioners, Parish Staff and Brother Deacons and Priests for your support to carry out my ministry in St. Mary Parish, and to those who financially helped to carry out a small project for deserving beneficiaries in India during the Pandemic.

Thank you for all of your patience, kindness, mercy, grace, generosity, and love that you have shown me. You are a great Family and I wish you all the best in this.

May you continue to grow in faith, hope and love, worshipping the Lord with your whole heart, mind, body, and soul and remember to do everything for the glory of God. I ask our heavenly Father to bless you with the blessings of Abraham and ask you to keep up with the same spirit.

As I leave, I want to quote the powerful words of Paul in the Letter to the Philippians 1:6 “being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus" so that the glory of God can be seen.

It is very hard to leave. I will miss you all.

Jesus, We Trust In You
Father Lourderaj Pitchai, O. Praem
