You are the temple of God…the Spirit of God dwells in you.
– I Cor 3:16
Dear Saint Mary Friends,
Praise the Lord! We will reopen our Church for Masses
next weekend, November 13-14!

It’s been a long time coming and I thank you all for the grace with which you handled shutdowns, time and place changes, and other bumps along the way. Now let that grace turn to grateful worship of the Lord.
A lot must be done before reopening. For Parishioners, most importantly, please note the new Mass schedule:
This schedule was put together with the help of the Parish Pastoral Council and is based on our pre-COVID schedule, taking into consideration attendance numbers and clergy availability, while avoiding overlapping Masses in the Hall and Church. Our main goal, however, was to have as many Masses as possible celebrated in our beautiful new Church!
Please continue your graciousness and understanding should there be some unforeseen bumps on our maiden voyage these first weekends we’re back. As I’ve said a number of times recently, everything will not be completely finished when we reopen, as we are not immune to the logistical and manufacturing issues plaguing construction these days. But, please God, we just have to get back in.
Special thanks to St. Mary School for the flexibility they’ve shown in scheduling school activities and Parish Masses.
Congratulations to Patrik Backus
Last Friday, October 29, Bishop Caggiano celebrated Mass at Immaculate High School and afterward blessed a prayer garden designed, financed and executed by senior Patrik Backus. This was Patrik’s Eagle Scout Project and joined the virtues of scouting with the virtues of faith. Congratulations, Patrik, we’re extremely proud of you.

Congratulations to Marlys and Nick Rizzi
Every year, the Bishop honors 1 or 2 people in every parish with the St. Augustine Medal. The award is given to outstanding volunteers in their parishes. This year’s awardees for St. Mary’s are Nick and Marlys Rizzi. Though they moved out of state just a few months ago, the Rizzi’s spent years in generous service to our Parish. While we will miss them, we wish Nick and Marlys well and ask the Lord to bless them for all they have contributed to St. Mary’s and bless them in the days and years to come.
Health and blessings,
Monsignor Royal
