Gathering Space & Adoration Chapel
Dear Saint Mary’s Friends,

Please take the time to note these few items of interest here at St. Mary’s:

Church Interior Videos
I hope you enjoy the two videos giving you a glimpse of the work going on in the new Adoration Chapel and Gathering Space. They are certainly still a work in progress – and we don’t have a definite summer opening date yet from the contractors - but progress you will indeed see.
Malta House Toy Drive
Parishioner, Christopher D’Orso, a junior at Ridgefield High School, has put together a wonderful work of mercy for the Malta House of Good Counsel – the sole pro-life home for single expectant mothers and then their babies in Fairfield County. He has arranged a toy drive for the babies, the details of which you can find here.
Icon Workshop
Icons are called “glimpses into heaven. For interested Parishioners (or friends), St. Mary’s is offering a wonderful workshop from July 26 – 30. Participants will come away with an understanding of the profound history and spirituality of icons along with an icon they paint on their own under the tutelage of my sister-in-law, Veronica Royal, a nationally known iconographer. Veronica’s icons have been commissioned by individuals and churches both nationally and internationally. Information about the workshop can be found here. The need for true beauty in our lives, especially regarding the transcendent, is essential to human beings. So below are two very brief videos looking at some wonderful Catholic art.

Many blessings,
Monsignor Royal
