EOA/WRA ANNUAL MEETING
The Associations Council invites you to the Annual Meeting of the Eastern Ohio & Western Reserve Associations on Saturday, November 3, 8:30AM, at First Congregational UCC (47 Aurora St, Hudson). Be part of the celebration as we worship together and give thanks to God as we make decisions for the years to come and as we continue seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit for our life together and strive to walk in Jesus' footsteps.

HEALTHY PRACTICES FOR MINISTRY: CULTURAL COMPETENCE
Time's running out for authorized ministers to register for Healthy Practices for Ministry: Cultural Competence on Wednesday, October 17, 9AM, at Zion UCC (415 S Main St, North Canton). In our increasingly diverse and pluralistic world developing cultural competence, being aware of another's cultural norms, helps us connect and relate to another with respect and humanity. The event is only $35 (free for pastors who retired from ministry) with an optional lunch for $10. Every person engaged in active authorized ministry is required to complete a Healthy Practices for Ministry every two years.

CONCERT SERIES
First Congregational Church of Akron (292 E Market St, Akron) is honored to host the 2018-2019 Symphony Orchestra concert series featuring the University of Akron Symphony Orchestra and Guy Bordo, conductor. The first concert of the series will be held September 27 in the acoustically flawless and historic Meetinghouse from 7:30-9PM. The performances are offered to the public at no charge and require no reservations. Free parking is available on site. You may call 330-253-5109 for more information.

PET FAIR & PET BLESSING
Olmsted Community Church (7853 Main St, Olmsted Falls) will host a Pet Fair and Pet Blessing on Saturday, September 29, 10AM-2PM on the campus and nearby covered bridge. The event features vendors, rescue groups, demonstrations, a photo op near the bridge, a memorial board, a food truck, a bake sale and pet blessings at 11AM and 1PM. People are encouraged to bring donations for the non-profit participants. For more information, email Nicki Behr.

BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS
West Park UCC (3909 Rocky River Dr, Cleveland) will host a Blessing of the Animals service on Saturday, October 6 at 1PM. All well-behaved pets are welcome to attend with their pet-parents for this brief service of blessing for all God's creatures!
APPLE BUTTER FESTIVAL
Chatham Community Church (6423 Avon Lake Rd, Medina) will host the 50th Annual Apple Butter Festival on Saturday, October 13, 10AM-5PM, and Sunday, October 14, 10AM-3PM. There is no admission fee. Home cooked foods, live music, country store, raptor display, kid's games and magician, and crafters.
PILGRIMAGE
Rev. Dr. Carol Vaccariello of HeartSpace Community will walk the Camino Ignaciano! Pastor Carol will take your prayer requests with her as she makes this pilgrimage. Email confidential prayer requests.

OPEN POSITIONS
Part-time Church Office Manager/Secretary needed at Emanuel UCC in Doylestown. Hours are Tuesday-Thursday 9AM-1PM. The successful candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office including Publisher, capable of maintaining church database software and the church calendar. The Hartsgrove Community Church UCC in Ashtabula County is seeking an organist/pianist to play for their Christmas Eve service at 7PM on December 24, 2018. If you'd like to share information about an upcoming or past event sponsored or co-sponsored by a church in our Associations, please send your article of 100 words or less in a paragraph by Tuesday noon to support.center@eoawraucc.org. Be extravagantly welcoming by including the name, location, address, date, time and contact information of the event. Items will run for two consecutive weeks. Fliers may be sent in addition to the 100 word article and a link will be provided to the flier in the article or the flier can be used as the article. Fliers should be less than 5MB and in Word or PDF format. Photos (which display next to your article) may be sent in addition to the article. Photos should be less than 5MB and in JPG or PNG format.
