Despite the challenges Saturday morning's weather brought us, Pizza with Santa was a success! We know not all registered guests and volunteers were able to attend, but we're sure glad those who did were able to enjoy Santa, pizza and fun!
A special thank you to the Marriott's Ridge High School's Key Club Volunteers for assisting the staff and guests during the event.

Buy - A - Brick
Columbia Association is once again hosting its Buy-a-Brick program in honor of Columbia's 50th Birthday Celebration that takes place in 2017. A section of the walkway at the Downtown Columbia Lakefront will be reserved for bricks placed around a large paver that says Columbia Maryland 50.

League of Women Voters of Howard County
Host Legislative Luncheon

On Saturday, January 7, 2017, the League of Women Voters of Howard County will hold its annual Howard County Delegation Legislative Luncheon
with lunch starting promptly at 11:00 AM, The Senators and Delegates who make up our local delegation will discuss the League of Women Voters of Maryland's 2017 Legislative Priorities. After opening remarks by the delegation, League members and guests will have the opportunity to ask questions of the delegation.
Join us at this event held to help the citizens of Howard County learn more about our legislators' priorities for the 2017 General Assembly. The League's partners for the Legislative Luncheon are the Columbia Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., and the Columbia Branch of the American Association of University Women. The cost to attend is $10 and there is no cost for anyone who brings a dish that will serve 8 people.

Holiday Hours, Closings and Slide Schedules
This year, Christmas Day will be observed on Monday, December 26th and County offices are closed. All trash, recycling and yard trim collection will function on a slide schedule, sliding one day later in the week.
In addition, the Alpha Ride Landfill will be closed and the RTA Bus Service will operate on a Sunday schedule.

Howard County has replaced the old tracking software with an improved system; it has lots of new and useful features.

Architectural Committee Meetings
Changes made to the exterior of homes in Harper's Choice require approval of the Village Architectural Committee (AC).
For 2017, the AC will meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month at 7:30 PM to review applications.
The deadline to submit applications for approval is two weeks prior to the next meeting date.
