William & Mary Dropping Seven Sports After 2020-21

The College of William & Mary athletic department can no longer support 23 varsity sports.
The Colonial Athletic Association member in Williamsburg, Va., announced Thursday that it’s discontinuing seven sports — men’s and women’s gymnastics, men’s and women’s swimming, men’s indoor and outdoor track and field, and women’s volleyball — after the 2020-21 school year. Read it.

Michigan Reinstates Fall Sports; Reopens Gyms, Pools

All Michigan high school athletes will get a fall season after all. Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed an executive order Thursday reinstating prep football while also allowing gyms and pools across the state to reopen Sept. 9. All activities will be allowed to resume as long as certain health and safety protocols are followed. Read it.
