The Addiction and Mental Health Strategic Clinical Network has awarded  the Valuing Mental Health Innovation and Integration Research Grant  to three recipients and their respective projects. Congratulations to Dr. David Nicholas, Dr. Stephanie Montesanti, and Dr. Gina Dimitr opoulos!

We have been working closely with Alberta Education - School and Community Supports for Children and Youth Branch to share emerging, promising, and leading practices among the 17 RCSD Regions.

  • We would like to extend a warm welcome to our newest board member, Shannon M. Spenceley, RN, PhD. Shannon is a registered nurse with 37 years of experience in a variety of roles related to health care, including staff nurse, clinical educator, health care analyst and health services researcher, clinical trials coordinator, and senior administrator. She is currently an Associate Professor and Assistant Dean of the Nursing and Health Sciences faculties at the University of Lethbridge. Her most recent study has focused on interventions to reduce moral distress experienced by nursing caregivers, as they care for residents with dementia in continuing care environments. Shannon is also the immediate past president of the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta.
