Happy Easter from all of us at PolicyWise! We hope everyone was able to enjoy time with family and friends over the long weekend.
Early this year, PolicyWise partnered with the Alberta Nonprofit Network (ABNN), and coordinated two workshops (in Calgary and Edmonton) to discuss what a policy agenda could look like for the Alberta non-profit sector. Representatives from 49 organizations discussed the sector's strengths and challenges and key initiatives worth pursuing. Thank you to everyone who contributed to these sessions. The outcomes from these meetings are available on ABNN's website here. We look forward to our continued work with our ABNN partners in planning for the future of Alberta nonprofits.
With spring comes many changes and with the Alberta election behind us, we want to ensure our partners and stakeholders that our mandate remains the same -
PolicyWise exists to improve the well-being of children, families, and communities through evidence-informed policy and practice. We will continue to promote our vision and work with existing and new partners in this journey.

On International Women's Day, our former Scientific Director, Dr. Suzanne Tough, was recognized by the UN Women Global Innovation Coalition for Change (GICC) for her leading innovations with the All Our Families Cohort. Congratulations, Dr. Tough!

Data to Action Day
