HAWKS HEADLINES
The Davis Principles
Hawks Family,

What a blessing it is to be a part of such an amazing school family. I find myself ending this week feeling thankful. To see the amazing things that are taking place from TK all the way to 12th grade in a virtual way, and the encouragement, positivity, and support that has been expressed, I am filled with gratitude.

I received an invitation from the Home & School to join a Midweek Prayer via Zoom this past Wednesday. This special prayer time was organized by this amazing group as an opportunity to come together virtually and lift our school family up in prayer. To know that there is a body of people taking the time out of their days to pray for our students, faculty/staff, and parents, is amazing. It is just one of the reasons that our school is so special. Throughout these crazy times, we are able to lean on Christ as our support, and do it together.

It is so important to stay connected to each other, and to Him, especially in times like we are living. It is in Him that we find our source of peace. John 16:33 Jesus says, "I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world."

Thank you, Hawks Family, for your support displayed in so many different ways. As we continue through these times together, remember to continually lift each other up. Look to Him as your source of peace - and take heart.

Blessings,

Bill Davis
TK-12 Principal
In The Beginning, God........
When Mrs. Vindel begins the unit on Creation vs Evolution in Biology class, she reads Chapters 1 & 2 from the book of Genesis for the students. As she reads, the students are to draw what they are hearing from that scripture reading. The drawing here represents what Keandra Gluck (10) visualizes as she hears the biblical account of creation. What a stunning picture and reminder of God's power.
EAA Worships Together...From a Distance
Each Friday the EAA Family takes time to worship together. The school is divided up by TK-5, 6-8 and 9-12. What joy it brings to everyone as they see friends and refill through music and scripture. Thank you to the worship leaders and the Pastors who give of their time to share the Love of Christ.

In Support of EAA 2020 Graduates
If you are on Facebook, you have seen hundreds of people posting their Senior pictures in support of the Graduates of 2020 who are missing all of the usual events leading up to receiving that diploma. EAA staff wanted to show EAA graduates that we support them and are thinking of them through this difficult time. For the next several Hawks Headlines issues, Senior pictures of EAA staff will be posted. 2020 Graduates, we miss you and want you to know that we hope to celebrate your accomplishments with you soon. Enjoy!

Mrs. Zimmerman & Duke
Find Hawks
Ms. Z and Duke spot EAA Hawks, Itzel (3) Carlos (K) and Mr. Villegas, as they are getting exercise and enjoying some fresh air and sun.
Sydney Barrett (2) practices social distancing by climbing a tree for her visit with Joshua Peters (3).
One of our Hawks has a private collection of TP. Very clever hiding place...right in plain sight!!!

3rd Graders had a chance to share their pets with their classmates. Even Mrs. Shitabata's Canine Kids showed up for class.
At the Browning house, Mrs. Browning teaches high school classes while Gareth (2) does his work assigned by Mrs. McCary. Brother, Finnick, is practicing to be in Kindergarten next year! A true Family Affair!
Mrs. Zimmerman "sees" her students and her colleagues everyday as she gives instruction through Distance Learning.
The first week of Health class for 4th quarter was spent working on mental health. Mr. Zimmerman assigned the students the task of completing a "choice" Tic Tac Toe chart. Click below to view some of the submitted works including some fun videos! Thanks to Christine Cheatham , Max and Malia Moon , and Jenay Sullivan . Enjoy!
If you have been in the audience at one of EAA's constituent churches when the Fine Arts Department is leading worship, then you have seen the Drama group present the reading, "One Solitary Life." The final 3rd quarter project was this edited video produced under social distancing restrictions. It is a powerful message and so timely. Thank you, Drama Class and Mr. Spencer, for reminding us of the amazing God who cares for us and has this situation under HIS control.
