News and Updates For You
Welcome to the monthly e-newsletter for NHTI alumni and community supporters. We want to keep you up-to-date on our academic programs, upcoming events, and let you know how you can support and stay in touch with us. Thank you for being part of NHTI - Concord's Community College.
NHTI Welcome Message
I am sorry that this is a few days late but we have been very busy getting ready for the fall semester. With the change in the weather recently, it is certainly feeling like the back-to-school season.

With the uncertainty around what the rest of the year may look like, we are pleased that we will continue to provide affordable and accessible opportunities to those wishing to advance their career prospects, set out on a new course, or are just starting out on their educational journey. We will be here for our students and the greater Concord community.

As the "new normal" is seeming more, well, normal, we are all adapting and learning, which is what higher education is all about.

Thank you for taking the time to stay connected to NHTI. We appreciate you!

Alumni Spotlight - Amanda Bacher
For over a decade, Amanda Bacher (General Studies/2013) has been a fixture on the courts and fields of Concord. As the coach of unified basketball and soccer, Amanda helped usher in Concord High School’s unified sports program. Unified sports is an inclusive sports program that joins students with and without disabilities to train and compete as a team.

Amanda sat down for a virtual interview on June 17, 2020 with Samuel Habib, a current student at NHTI.

Get your keyboards ready: eSports are Coming to NHTI
eSports are multiplayer video games played competitively for spectators, just like traditional collegiate athletics.

We are very excited to add eSports as a club offering in the 2020-2021 academic year with plans for the 2021-2022 year to be competing at the collegiate level of competition.

We are looking for community partners to help us launch this new initiative. Contact Laura Scott if you would like to support our new eSports team!
Understanding Data Analytics- Essential for Effective Leadership
Advances in computing power have lead to a massive explosion in the amount of data available for analysis. Many businesses don't take advantage of the opportunities for analyzing their data and miss out on opportunities to improve their bottom line. Why?

Many leaders have gaps in training and experience when it comes to data analytics and rely on others to help them make important business decisions or lead with only 'instinct and guesses'. With today's challenges, making decisions based on data is essential.

Find out more about Data Analytics for Leaders and MicroCredential options here.
