A SNOW DAY, A DELAYED VALENTINE'S DAY,
PK100 DAYS 100 WAYS, AND A MUCH NEEDED VACAY!
This past week, we celebrated St. Valentine by LOVING an unexpected snow day! The wintery weather and road conditions made a safe commute to school somewhat questionable, and therefore all of our Valentines festivities were postponed until Tuesday. Our red, pink, purple dress down day, the Grade 8 Guessing Jar fundraiser and any planned classroom festivities/valentine exchanges definitely remained highlights of the week, albeit later than expected! Our preschool students, who started their school year a bit behind our K-8 students, enjoyed their 100th day of getting smarter Fun activities including creating 100 legs on a caterpillar and cup stacking were just a few!
Our four day week was "crammed" with MAP Growth testing for our middle school students, and classroom instruction/projects as we "got the most" out of the shortened week before enjoying our February reprieve. Upon our return from a much needed break, our focus will shift to the importance of our Lenten journey. Plans to bury the Alleluia, as well as the consideration of our Lenten sacrifices will greet us after a much needed and appreciated week away from school.
Enjoy the break & God bless!
