A Blessing for Baby and Spontaneous Prayer at Recess Time!

Faith is a Focus!

Another great week at the school, with the Thanksgiving reprieve on the horizon! Pictured above are a few of the week's highlights...

On Thursday Father Ryan visited our fifth grade classroom to give Mrs. Bentley a very special send off...a beautiful blessing given in anticipation of the birth of her new baby! Prayers of the faithful were read by her students and included intentions offered for the baby, the family, for all mothers, and even the long term substitute.

God bless Mrs. Bentley and prayers for a safe delivery!

Also on Thursday, our first graders had a recess on the front of the school, due to the fact that we had outdoor lunches.

Lots of playin' and some prayin' ensued!

We are grateful, thankful, and truly blessed.

Enjoy the weekend with your families.

early dismissal times.png
  • Wednesday, November 24th-

EARLY DISMISSAL @ 11:30am;

Please note that dismissal begins at 11:00am for our preschoolers, 11:15am for singletons & 11:30am for siblings... Thank you!

  • Cafeteria Change of Procedure- Due to the slight increase of COVID cases, and the vulnerability that the lunch tables create in the cafeteria with contact tracing, we have decided it is safest if our students are 6 feet apart when they eat. This will help us to reduce the number of students that will need to participate in the Test & Stay program should our numbers increase after the holidays.

Have you checked out the new spiritwear?

Please click here to view our "School Bookstore" and make purchases soon! Items will make great Christmas gifts!

***Please note that spirit wear is for days designated as Spirit Wear Days and should not be considered part of the gym uniform. Acceptable gym shirts are gray and have either the SFX school logo, or the Runnin' Frankie Rebel shirts given to students last year. We are noticing maroon shirts on gym days, which are not in compliance uniform. Thank you!

*** Speaking of Spirit Wear... Is your child's Frankie shirt looking tired, faded and cracking?

Please click here to inform the front office of any abnormal and rapid decline in shirt quality!

Thank you!

Fly on the Wall

I would never have imagined that I would hear Father Ryan claim that he "felt old" until he relayed the following exchange he had with a fifth grade student during extended care this week:

Father: "What kind of music player and headphones are you using?"

Student - "Father, this is a modern Walkman. It’s called an MP3 player."

The student thought that Father wasn't old enough to know what an MP3 player was!
