The ALLELUIA JOY continues...
NEW LIFE, NEW NJHS INDUCTEES, CHURCH BUDDIES &
AN AUTHOR VISIT!
Our school is a VERY busy place these days, as we prepare to cross the finish line of the 2021-2022 school year... and what a year it has been!
Our preschool 3 & 4 students could not contain their excitement with the signs of new life that became a part of their classroom experience this week! Baby chicks wiggled their way to emerge from their shells and butterflies broke forth from their chrysalis into the world of our preschool classrooms. Such a wonderful way to experience the joy and miracle of new life! Please click here to visit our preschool teachers web pages for more NEW LIFE pics, as well as some Around the World pics from Miss Dandurand's class.... an exciting week for our preschoolers!
On Wednesday evening, we welcomed 15 new members to the Sister Louise Place O. P. Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society. Twelve 6th graders and three 8th graders were awarded the honor and privilege of becoming members of the NJHS based on academic standing, the completion of the application process, and an interview that was conducted by administration and Mr. Simonson. The candidates have proved themselves to be worthy of this honor, and will continue to uphold the five pillars of the society, Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Citizenship and Character. We look forward to what next school year will hold for our NJHS, and the creative ideas that will be executed for the betterment of our school and our community. Congratulations to all of our NEW INDUCTEES!
For the first time this school year, our entire school family, Small Wonders through Grade 8, made the trek down Main Street to attend Holy Mass on Ascension Thursday! The Mass was wonderful, the singing spectacular, and the behavior (even of our smallest of wonders) while not exceptional, was totally acceptable! Our students love their CHURCH BUDDIES and we look forward to next school year when we can bring back weekly Mass attendance as a part of our spiritual lives and faith formation.
Former substitute at St. Francis and AUTHOR Mrs. Diane Finn came to VISIT our Grades 3, 4 & 5 students to share her book, The Secrets of Plymouth Rock.
Mrs. Finn also shared her vast knowledge of Plymouth Plantation in preparation for Grades 3 & 5's upcoming field trip.
