 Congratulations to our St. Francis Xavier School students who received Jesus in the Eucharist for the very first time at our parish last weekend!  Several other students in the class will be receiving this beautiful sacrament in the coming weeks at their home parishes and are very excited as well! This upcoming Friday our second graders will have the chance to wear their first communion "best" once again, as they will have the honor and privilege of crowning Our Blessed Mother on the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima. The school community will gather on our beautiful front grounds to crown Our Lady, to offer flowers to her and to pray for her intercession.

Our middle school students were the recipients of a nice surprise on Monday, as they had no classes! What they did have, however, was a retreat put on by Oscar Rivera, Director of Youth Ministry for the Diocese, as well as his "team" Jillian Fernandes and Joey Paulo. Students spent much of the day in their FAM Houses, listening to talks on reaching higher and striving more deliberately in life to find a HIGHER JOY. 

Celebrating our amazing teachers and staff this week was so much fun! Snacks, lunch, sweets and treats were a daily occurrence. Thank you to all of our families for your generosity, and to our School Events Committee Representatives for initiating and orchestrating teacher gifts! 

Clearly we have much to CELEBRATE, and are looking forward to doing so at our annual auction and gala! Please make sure consideration is given to attending this wonderful fundraiser for our school!

PARISH HAPPENINGS

St Francis Xavier is bringing back the First Saturday devotion that Our Lady asked for with Sr Lucia, the visionary from Fatima. And we are going to have donuts and coffee afterwards, to try to bring back more community after the isolation from the pandemic took so much of that away. Please join in this Saturday at the 9:00 AM mass, and stay for the rosary and social time, to get families back together, and to listen to Our Lady’s request… to bring peace to the world and to our families.

PRAYERS APPRECIATED

Please keep Mrs. Jason and her family in your prayers, as her mom passed away very unexpectedly on Tuesday evening.  Mrs. Jason will be out for a bit, as the services are next week in Vermont.  Click here to read about the beautiful life of Jacqueline Rozzi.  May her soul rest in peace.

From the office:

- April extended statements are going home today. If you have a past due balance, please try and send payment this month. The end of the school year will be here before you know it, and not having so many outstanding accounts to track down at year end is greatly appreciated.

- We did purchase a few extra boxes of chocolates from World's Finest this year. If you would like another box (or an initial box) please let me know. The box is $60 and $24 gets credited to your Family Fundraising Obligation, so unless you eat the whole box yourself instead of selling it, it's a win-win. 

ps. If you do eat the whole box yourself, I'm not judging. It's GOOD chocolate :)

- Our Grocery card program will be wrapping up for the year on Friday May 27th in order for remaining Family Fundraising amounts to be calculated and sent out to families before year-end. We will not be re-ordering cards from here out, so please be understanding if we have to sub out denominations on your order.

Recommendation: Before you buy, give the swap shop a try! Inventory in the swap shop is quite good and locating sizes should be a bit easier as progress has been made with straightening the shop!
