FUN IN THE SUN,

ADORATION OF OUR LORD

AN ACT OF SERVICE & LOVE

&

HOLY THURSDAY STATIONS

Our four day week had its fair share of sunshine and blessings! Finally a true taste of spring has our students and staff ready for a break from the daily routine. It is always so apropo that just before a vacation, the energy and enthusiasm that normally exists within our school walls wanes a bit, in anticipation of the much needed rest and reset that is on the horizon.

Our monthly visit from the Maronite Sisters took place this week, and while the weather did not completely cooperate, it was a blessing to be able to adore our Lord in the school gym. Classes made short visits to the prayer space to consider and remember how much our crucified and risen Lord loves us. From the youngest to the oldest, our students were reverent and respectful as they prayed and reflected during this holiest of weeks.

Our smallest of wonders and youngest disciples of Christ had the rare opportunity to have their feet washed by their teacher this week! In an effort to demonstrate the great love that Our Lord had for His Disciples at the Last Supper, Mrs. Plante washed the feet of those students who desired the experience.. such a demonstration of service to one another!

Our Holy Thursday walk to Stations of the Cross was an appropriate reminder of Our Lord taking up His cross to walk on Calvary. This prayerful reflection was a perfect ending to our Holy Week as a school community, but Christ's journey has just begun...

As we enter into the Easter Triduum, may we unite ourselves with Our Lord's final days and moments with his disciples. May we walk with Jesus through His passion with hearts filled with both sadness and JOY knowing that it is only by His death that we are able to celebrate the resurrection.

We look forward to celebrating the resurrection with our school community upon our return!

God Bless & Have a Great Week!

It is such a natural reaction to get "ticked off" about the reemergence of ticks in the spring. We appreciate your patience as we continue to engage the assistance of A-1 Pest Control to help us with pests on our property. Please check your kiddos daily for these annoying little buggers!

State mandated health screenings are set to take place in month of May. More details and further information to follow after the break.

From the Office:

- March statements were sent home last week. We've discovered that there was a system glitch that may have resulted in your March payment being erased. If this was the case and you haven't yet contacted me, can you please let me know? I have no way to find which day specifically was affected (though it seems to be the first week of March) but I can confirm I received your check if you let me know the number and amount.

- If you ordered chocolate boxes, I've been told they will be delivered the week we return from Easter break. I did order a few extra boxes this year, so if you sell out quickly and would like another box, I have some available.

Wishing you a blessed Easter and relaxing break! Mrs. Reis
