FUN IN THE SUN,
ADORATION OF OUR LORD
AN ACT OF SERVICE & LOVE
&
HOLY THURSDAY STATIONS
Our four day week had its fair share of sunshine and blessings! Finally a true taste of spring has our students and staff ready for a break from the daily routine. It is always so apropo that just before a vacation, the energy and enthusiasm that normally exists within our school walls wanes a bit, in anticipation of the much needed rest and reset that is on the horizon.
Our monthly visit from the Maronite Sisters took place this week, and while the weather did not completely cooperate, it was a blessing to be able to adore our Lord in the school gym. Classes made short visits to the prayer space to consider and remember how much our crucified and risen Lord loves us. From the youngest to the oldest, our students were reverent and respectful as they prayed and reflected during this holiest of weeks.
Our smallest of wonders and youngest disciples of Christ had the rare opportunity to have their feet washed by their teacher this week! In an effort to demonstrate the great love that Our Lord had for His Disciples at the Last Supper, Mrs. Plante washed the feet of those students who desired the experience.. such a demonstration of service to one another!
Our Holy Thursday walk to Stations of the Cross was an appropriate reminder of Our Lord taking up His cross to walk on Calvary. This prayerful reflection was a perfect ending to our Holy Week as a school community, but Christ's journey has just begun...
As we enter into the Easter Triduum, may we unite ourselves with Our Lord's final days and moments with his disciples. May we walk with Jesus through His passion with hearts filled with both sadness and JOY knowing that it is only by His death that we are able to celebrate the resurrection.
We look forward to celebrating the resurrection with our school community upon our return!
God Bless & Have a Great Week!
