EXPLORING PALMS,
A FINAL OFFERING OF ALMS,
A PRAYERFUL NEXT FEW DAYS
OUR DEBT THAT HE PAYS...
This short week went quickly!
Monday began with many of our classes discussing the events of Palm Sunday. Revisiting the readings, sharing the story of Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem, and waving palm branches in classrooms were just a few of the lessons that were happening in classes. For Small Wonders, Palm Sunday also became a Math activity, as students measured the length of palm branches using unifix cubes!
Thanks once again to our National Junior Honor Society, who helped our school community to keep the giving of alms at the forefront of our Lenten journey. Today's final delivery of items to the Dartmouth Humane Society will certainly make many furry friends happy, as they await their forever homes. Thank you again for instilling the virtue of generosity with your children this Lent through our almsgiving opportunities.
It was certainly hard to resist the birds eye view (taken from second floor classroom!) of our PreK 4 classes praying the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary! The students' voices quite literally sounded angelic, as they together they recited the prayers and followed Jesus in carrying His cross to Calvary.
Theology lessons across all grade levels this week were certainly synced to move through (and learn more about!) the Triduum, and an amazing finale to our short week, we were able to pray the Stations of the Cross together as a school family... at the church!
Have a wonderfully prayerful Triduum with your families.
One more four-day week ahead of us, before our April reprieve !
Have a wonderful long weekend & God bless!
See you after the Resurrection!
