DINO FUN,
A MORNING OF REFLECTION,
FAM HOUSE PERFECTION
&
A NEARING VACATION!
Diggory Doo the Dinosaur has been making visits to our preschool classrooms, under the direct supervision of Miss Camille Cole, our School Adjustment Counselor! Diggery has become a crowd favorite, as he exposes the children to social emotional learning concepts and life lessons through his stories. Students love the fun and engaging ways in which Diggory faces challenges and is instructed to adjust his behavior to be his best self! This week's read aloud focused on personal space and boundaries, and being a good friend. Thank you, Miss Camille for helping our students to navigate their relationships with their classmates!
At the other end of the grade level spectrum, our seventh and eighth grade students made their way to Bishop Stang on Tuesday for a Lenten mini-retreat that included students from St. Teresa of Calcutta, St. Joseph's and Espirito Santo. Under the direction of Mrs. Amanda Tarantelli, Stang Campus Ministers provided thought provoking talks and numerous games and icebreakers to not only connect students, but also connect the concepts of forgiveness, friendship and becoming closer to Christ. Upon their return to school, our entire middle school split up into FAM Houses and engaged in a FAM House Mini-Challenge, which included foul throw shots, a game of knockout, and a new fun favorite the "plate challenge" pictured above.
It is hard to believe that the month of March is behind us, and thirty one days of March Madness giveaways is completed. Thank you again for your most generous support of all of our fundraising efforts... More information coming soon about this year's main fundraising event, our Golf Tournament.
With two four-day weeks ahead of us, our April reprieve will be here before we know it!
Have a wonderful weekend and God bless!
