FRIDAY NIGHT'S NEWSLETTER

PICS OF THE WEEK!

ALL SAINTS DAY GREATNESS,

HOLY MASS IN THE GYM,

RECESS LEAF TOSS

& A FIRST FRIDAY FOCUS!

The weather had different plans for us this year, as our saintly celebration was forced inside due to the threat of rain. This change of course certainly did not dampen the mood as our students with their younger "church buddies" paraded around the gymnasium, visiting a number of tables which became the "indoor trunks" for this annual tradition. Saintly smiles were still seen, as our students enjoyed parading to the various selection of saints displayed at each table, and the treats that accompanied them! A very intimate Holy Mass for this Solemnity was celebrated in the gymnasium and Father Ryan spoke to us about "who we are supposed to be"... Saints in the making!

As we look forward to the coming days, we realize that we have a nice shortened week upon us! Our teachers will be attending a Diocesan Professional Development Day on Thursday next week, which is followed by the Veteran's Day holiday on Friday.

So, buckle up for a quick three day week!

OUR FIRST FRIDAY FOCUS!

Fr. Leonard offered and assembly and presentation this morning about the needs of his native country, Rwanda. St. Francis Xavier Parish has been supporting Fr. Leonard's village since 2009, and have raised funds for various needs including soccer balls and shoes. This year the parish is raising funds to be able to purchase proper plumbing to install toilets in the schools for the children of Rwanda, and the school wants to help the parish reach their $10,000 goal!
