ADORATION & TECH WEEK & PJs, OH MY!
On Tuesday we were thrilled to welcome Sister Therese to the school to guide our students in prayer and petition before the Blessed Sacrament. This month's focus was placed on the Sacrament of Baptism, as we marked the official end of the Christmas season on Monday, celebrating the Baptism of Our Lord.
As you can only imagine, the whirlwind of activity that resulted from the daily dose of performance run throughs had our drama students slightly "wound up"! Costume changes, prop preparations, final line memorizations, and the director frustrations that come with the territory, were all memorable moments and learning opportunities. The days were long ones for the students involved, and their hard work is certainly going to pay off this weekend as we enjoy this wonderful performance of The Wizard of Oz. Our student body had the privilege of having the "first set of eyes" on the show, as we gathered in the gym this afternoon for a sneak peek preview. The applause and support of the faculty and staff will be remembered by the cast and crew when the curtains open this evening.
Our week ended with our annual, "I Have a Dream" Pajama Day, to honor and reflect upon the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr before enjoying the long weekend. The rainy day was a perfect backdrop for spending our day in relaxed attire! Have a great long weekend, and I look forward to seeing many of our families at this weekend's performance!
