FRIDAY EVENING'S NEWSLETTER &

PICS OF THE WEEK!

OH WHAT A WEEK!

GRADE ONE DID GO,

OUR STAFF DID GLOW

& AN AMAZING SHOW!

WE ARE AN EASTER PEOPLE, AND ALLELUIA IS OUR SONG!

Finally, after numerous reschedulings due to challenging weather, our first grade class visited the Acushnet Sawmill on Monday! Taking their learning "on the road", students happily explored the Acushnet River Reserve! They played forest bingo, learning about the plants and animals in a forest habitat and their adaptations. Partner groups participated in a macroinvertebrate matching game, using nets to scop samples out of the pond and into a bucket. They then used field guides to identify the organisms in their buckets... real Limnologists!

Our teachers and staff certainly felt the love of our school community this past week! Thanks to the generosity of so many of you, EVERYONE (from nurses to aides, to admin and specialists!) enjoyed the various treats and surprises that were provided. You can see from their glowing smiles that they certainly feel appreciated.

Thank you so much for helping us to celebrate our absolutely amazing faculty!

Fine Arts Night 2023 was certainly one for the memory books! Thanks to Mrs.Girouard, Miss Fernandes and Miss Dandurand, our students truly put on an amazing show. The song choices were spot on, and the choreography was perfect. The church buddy numbers were rather touching, as we become witnesses to the friendships that develop across grade levels here at St. Francis. Finally, the Disney Showcase was just a taste of the talent that exists with our older students!

Please keep an eye on the Dates to Know About section of the newsletter to stay informed of all of the various happenings that will lead us to the end of the school year...

the month of May is flying by!

Have a wonderful weekend & God bless!
