This past "virtual" week was a blast from the past, from a time that is not remembered with great fondness. Virtual teaching and learning can certainly include its fair share of challenges. I am keenly aware that the remote learning experience is not ideal for all students and for all family situations. Google meets, posted assignments and sharing of screens can be rather difficult for our students and teachers. I will say that the many virtual classrooms that I "walked through" this week were being beautifully executed and students were engaged in learning. Thank you for your patience as we plan for our upcoming days.

By now you have read and processed our minimum capacity (PK & middle school only) reopening plan for this upcoming week. As stated in the correspondence and reiterated here, this decision has been made with the best interest of our school community in mind.

Please know that we fully intend to reenter in a full capacity model after the February break, should students be healthy, come from a healthy home, and not have travelled or made decisions over the break that could impact our school community.

Be expecting a health & wellness survey during February vacation week to assess the safety of our return. Your transparency is critical to our success.

RE-REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Please "SAVE YOUR SEAT" as a current family this weekend!!

We ask that our current school families re-enroll by Sunday Feb 7th! Your seat(s) are solidified upon payment of the $120 (per child) registration fee, which can be mailed or dropped into our mail slot at the school next week.

Thank you to many of you who have already done so!

Enrollment for 2021-2022 opens for New Families on Monday, Feb 8th!

Grades K-5 will continue with Remote Learning next week.

Healthy routines for this final one-week push help create a successful remote experience!

How will it work?

Teachers will....

post by 7:30am each morning in their Google Classroom;
meet with students remotely via Google Meet according to a schedule;
take daily attendance;
be available for consultation; throughout the school day;

What are students expected to do?

Students should be...

on time for scheduled Meets;
in regular uniform;
ready with supplies/texts to participate and learn;
submitting all completed work via Google Classroom (with parent assistance if necessary) in a timely fashion daily;

What helps?

please assist your child in setting up a proper learning space;
keep to normal sleep and wake routines;
tune into the Google Classroom of your child's teacher each morning during remote learning to establish a schedule for their day, as well as take note of all their posted assignments;

Student MAP Growth Progress Reports will go home in next week's Friday folder for 6-8 and will be mailed to parents of students in K-5!

Stay tuned for when we will be able to properly celebrate the postponed Catholic Schools Week activities as a school community!

In honor of St. Valentine, and to kick off a much needed break, all students and faculty should plan on a RED, WHITE, PINK and/or PURPLE Dress Down Day on Friday February 12th! No uniforms in both virtual and in person classrooms!
