NEWS & EVENTS from the TARMAC
The week of August 17, 2026
| | CFD WELCOMES TWO NEW MEMBERS | | The Committee for Dulles (CFD) welcomes two new members. The first is John Marshall Bank, the Loudoun County branch. The Loudoun County branch of John Marshall Bank is located in the heart of Leesburg. They are the banking home of dozens of local businesses and organizations. When they first opened the doors in 2009, they knew that being a part of the community would be at the forefront of their priorities. | | | From their commercial lenders to their relationship bankers, they emphasize this priority – through their service and stewardship of the residents they consider neighbors and the businesses they consider partners. Joe Malazo, VP, Commercial Relationship Manager in Loudoun, will be the bank's representative to CFD. | | CFD's next new member it welcomes is Skyview High School, a Fairfax County Public School located near Dulles Airport. David Jagels, the school's principal, and CFD are working on forming a partnership to help the students at Skyview learn about the many opportunities in the aviation world and about the importance of Dulles Airport to the region. | | | In July, CFD provided funding for a Skyview student to attend the "2026 Skyview Aerospace Workforce Development Summer Camp". The weeklong camp provided several rewarding opportunities to the attending students, and by all accounts, the camp was a huge success. | | |

IS YOUR COMPANY'S INFORMATION UP TO DATE
At the start of this new year, it is a good time to check to make sure your company's information is up to date. You can check by going to the Member Directory; this is what is available to the public to see. You will want to make sure the following is correct: the company's contact information, the company's website URL, the company's logo, and that your company's business category(ies) is listed and updated. Should you have any issues and/or questions, please email Scott York.
